When planning, the
Quinceañera's
family should communicate with a priest to begin
the preparation of the celebration.
The
Quinceañera
should be baptized, have made her First Holy
Communion, have been Confirmed or be currently
enrolled in Confirmation classes. She should also
be an active member of our
community.
Masses are scheduled on
Saturdays at 11:00am except on the 4th Saturday of
the month (1:00 or 3:00pm if no weddings are
scheduled for that day).
The sacrament of
Reconciliation will be scheduled one week prior to
the date of the celebration.
The rehearsal will be for one
hour two days before the
celebration.
Music must be coordinated by
the parish music director, Mario Balestrieri. He
should be contacted at least three months before
the ceremony at (415) 333-1767.
The
Quinceañera's
parents, godparents and any special guests, are
invited to participate in the readings, go to
Confession and receive the Holy Eucharist.
FLOWERS
You are responsible
for the decoration of the church. We ask that any
appearance of extravagance be avoided. Floral
arrangements should be simple, adhesive tapes,
nails and staples should not be placed on the
church pews.
Please
Note:
Flowers are to be
left in the sanctuary after the ceremony as a gift
to the worshiping community for the Sunday
Mass.
Please be conscious that we
have other celebrations and the church must be left
clean. After the celebration you should remove any
decorations from the
aisles/pews.
